In the words of the San Diego Psych Association
"SAN DIEGO WOMENS MARCH
Saturday, January 21, 10 a.m.
Civic Center Plaza, 1200 Third Avenue
San Diego Psychological Association will be marching under our own banner at the San Diego Women's March on Saturday, January 21. We will gather with thousands of other women, men and children at the Civic Center Plaza and march to the County Administration Building, with the following mission:
"We, San Diego Women's March, are peacefully marching in San Diego in solidarity with the Women's March in DC. We are dedicated to a free and open society. Together we stand united in our respect for all people and we resist the marginalization of anyone. As a diverse, inclusive community of compassionate people, we seek to strengthen and continue our commitment to work for the protection of women's rights. We stand firm in agreement that women's rights are human rights."
We hope that as many SDPA members as possible gather with us on January 21 and through our marching make a nonpartison statement in support of women's rights, which are under more threat than they have been since the early 1970's.
SDPA marchers will meet under our banner at the northwest corner of the intersection of Third Street and B Street, right next to the concrete sign that reads 1200 CIVIC CENTER PLAZA. We will be there with the banner after 9 am. The March starts at 10 am, proceeds west on Broadway and turns north onto Harbor Drive, ending at the San Diego County Administration Building. Transportation suggestions include arriving early enough by car to get into a nearby parking lot, or taking Uber, Lyft or taxi, or taking the trolley (a good place to board the trolley is Old Town, which has ample parking)."
