Payment is due at the time of session or before. Payment can be made by credit card, check, or cash.
Individual or Relationship Therapy Session
Abi Weissman, Psy.D. $230 per session
Group Therapy Session (more than 5 people who do not already know each other):
$230 per individual session
$50 per group session, per person
Each session includes about 45 minutes of clinical time and about 15 minutes of administrative and professional time including note writing, research, meditation, personal care activities, and coordination of care time with other health care professionals.
Additional coordination of care time with other health professionals is billed at
Abi Weissman, Psy.D. $76 per 15 minutes, rounded up
All clinical work is done in person unless a phone or telemental health session is pre-arranged.
Low Fee availability:
Please note that Dr. Weissman is a member of Open Path Psychotherapy Collective “a non-profit nationwide network of mental health professionals dedicated to providing in-office mental health care—at a steeply reduced rate—to individuals, couples, children, and families in need” (as found on https://openpathcollective.org/open-path-staff/ on 2/11/19). Dr. Weissman charges $60 a session for any new Open Path individual clients (as of 2/11/19).
Staff Training(s) fees:
Rates fluctuate depending on number and duration of presentation(s), location of training(s), and topic(s).
Consultation fees:
Abi Weissman, Psy.D. $230 per 45 to 50 minute consultation session.
Insurance availability:
Dr. Weissman strongly encourages that clients call their health insurance company to confirm their insurance company's policies surrounding out of network mental health services.
At this time, Dr. Abi Weissman is not an in network provider with any insurance but Medicare. Dr. Weissman is actively trying to leave Medicare panel and will not take anymore clients with Medicare.
Dr. Weissman is willing to furnish client with receipts that she/he/they can then submit to her/his/their insurance company for possible reimbursement.
When you make an appointment with Dr. Abi Weissman, you will be asked to furnish your insurance information before your appointment to verify your benefits.
Clients will need to pay for services not covered by their insurance company.
Cancellation policies
Sessions cancelled fewer than 24 hours before session time and no-shows are charged the full fee.
A client needs to call or email Dr. Abi Weissman if she/he/they need to cancel a session.
